Second trimester of pregnancy

So, the second trimester is called the honeymoon because your energy levels come back to life and you feel better, and it is kind of a break in the symptoms.

During this time, I have really enjoyed the pregnancy, starting to see the baby bump grows and also starting to feel the baby inside me, crazy stuff!!

At week 16, we decide to book a scan because we couldn't wait 4 more weeks to see our little rainbow baby and find out the gender 😊 We went to the clinic, I was so excited to see the baby again and see the progress. Also, we wanted to find out if it was a boy or a girl. Fun fact, since the beginning of this pregnancy, I knew on my inside, that it was a boy, no idea why. So, once they started the scan appointment, we saw the baby grew lots and it was looking more like a baby, we saw all the parts of the body and....... IT WAS A BOY! So clear to see and I was right, my gut was totally right!! My partner wanted a girl and was little disappointing but then he will the happiest man ever!

So, as the trimester went on, we had second scan on the hospital, it is called grow scan, it is done at 20 weeks and it is for looking for any anomalies on the baby. Obviously, I was nervous about it as you never know what it can be. This scan was successfully, and little man was perfect 😊 and we have the chance to see him again!

Then, it was summer time, and we had traveled to my hometown in Spain as I wanted to see my family meanwhile I was pregnant but not huge haha The trip on the plane was pretty ok and no major issues for me, was feeling great and excited! My family was so happy to see us and touch the growing bump!

During the summer and second trimester, bump keep growing and growing, to be honest, I had huge bump and big boy there! The worst part was the heat during the summer, I couldn't deal with it so a lot of rest and water :) Also, I have to do the glucose test, and drink the disgusting liquid 😷, and results were ok!

Also, I needed to visit a physio because I had pains on my pelvic area and my back, bump was getting heavier. It helped a lot!

Then, the third trimester came in and the countdown was on!
